Monday October 4, 2004 Chavez's Contributions Recognized as part of Hispanic Heritage Month
Washington , DC – In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, members of the U.S. Congressional Hispanic Caucus will celebrate with a special screening of El Senador , a documentary that tells the story of the late U.S. Senator Dennis Chavez, (D-NM). All schools in NM to receive Dennis Chavez documentary Albuquerque, NM – Gloria Tristani, the granddaughter of the late U.S. Senator Dennis Chavez, donated funds from her 2002 U.S. Senate Campaign Committee to the Dennis Chavez Foundation.
